CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Trevino called the meeting of May 26, 2020 to order at 7:08 p.m.

It was moved by Councilwoman Villarreal to approve the minutes as presented.  Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Sharp.

NEW BUSINESS

Utility Adjustment

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to adjust the utility bill for 130 Barker Rd by 661.20 and adjust 1105B Bailey Avenue by 545.20.  Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.

Mosquito Control

It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to allow the expenditure of $850.00 for the purchase of necessary chemicals for mosquito control.  Motion was second by Councilwoman Estrada.

Computers for Patrol Vehicles

It was moved by Councilwoman Sharp to allow the expenditure of $8,295.12 to update the computers in the patrol vehicles.  It was seconded by Councilwoman Estrada.

PROCLAMATION

PROCLAMATION BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GRANGER REGARDING GOVERNOR’S PROCLMATION 20-25

Mayor Trevino read the Proclamation.

Zoom meeting closed due to time limit at 7:30 p.m.

Zoom meeting restarted at 7:42 p.m.

Council discussed the many issues facing the community and the impact the shutdown has had on the community and it’s citizens.  It was made clear that the proclamation states that the employees of the City would not take any action against any citizen in Granger who are to be in violation of the Governor’s proclamation. The proclamation encourages Granger residents, businesses and their employees to follow the reopening procedures, COVID 19 hygiene and social distancing when in public in the City of Granger.  The proclamation also states that the city will not interfere with those coming into the City to enforce the Governor’s proclamation.
