The Granger Alumni Association was begun in early 1960’s by a group of Granger High School graduates. Their mission would be to provide scholarships to deserving Granger High School Seniors, maintain a record of all alumni, and assist with class reunions,

During Cherry festival weekend in May 1964, the first Alumni Banquet was held at Granger High School and the first scholarship of $100.00 was awarded. Through the years, scholarship winners and scholarship amounts have increased. In 2024, eleven students received $24,000.00 raning from awards of $1500.00 to $3500.00. Over the 61 years of the Granger Alumni Scholarship program, 355 scholarships have been awarded totalling $444,236.
Each year over 2000 letters are mailed to alumni and past staff in early March. At each Alumni Banquet eight classes are honored from those graduating twenty-five years ago in five year increments through those graduating sixty years ago; all alumni celebrating their graduations over sixty years; and current and past staff, administrators and school board officials are honored as well. Every year two to three hundred alumni travel from near and far to attend this special event. It is alsway held on the last Saturday of April.
