CALL TO ORDER

Meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Trevino.

 NEW BUSINESS

Ordinance 1287
The City Attorney, Seann Mumford explained that Ordinance 1287 repeals certain sections of Title 9 of the City’s municipal code pertaining to crimes and criminal procedure, and adopts several new criminal code provisions, including adopting by reference portions of Title 9, 9A, 10, 13, 26, 28A, 46, 66, 69, and 70 of the Revised Code of Washington.

It was moved by Councilwoman Isiordia adopt Ordinance 1287, which relates to Public Safety, amending the City of Granger Municipal Code; repealing certain sections of Title 9 and adding new sections for the purpose of adopting equivalent and/or similar revised code of Washington Statues and for the purpose of assuming Jurisdictional Authority in the Granger Municipal Court for all Misdemeanor and Gross Misdemeanor crimes enumerated in the revised code of Washington; amending the Title of Title 9 to Granger Criminal Codes”. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Sharp.
Councilman Isoridia, Councilwoman Sharp and Councilwoman Estrada voting in favor. Councilwoman Villarreal and Councilwoman Gonzalez voting against. Motion carried 3-2

 ADJOURN
Motion was made by Councilwoman Villarreal to adjourn the special meeting and seconded by Councilwoman Sharp. Meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
Motion carried 5-0
