GRANGER CITY COUNCIL MINUTES

 March 22, 2022                                        7:00 P.M.                                                        City Hall

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Trevino called the meeting of March 22, 2022, to order at 7:00 p.m.

FLAG SALUTE

Mayor Trevino lead everyone in the flag salute.

COUNCIL AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL PRESENT

COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT

It was moved by Councilmember Isioridia to excuse Councilmember Guzman due to a family emergency that took her out of town from the Council meeting of March 22, 2022. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Bustamante.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION

None.

NEW BUSINESS

Ordinance 1391-Interfund Loan from the Water-Sewer Reserve Fund to the Irrigation Fund.

It was moved by Councilmember Stonemetz to adopt Ordinance 1391, an Ordinance of the City of Granger, Washington, authorizing an Interfund Loan from the Water-Sewer Reserve Fund to the Irrigation Fund, providing for and establishing an effective date. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Isiordia.

Prothman Contract for Recruitment Services for the position of City Clerk-Treasurer.

It was moved by Councilmember Munoz to enter into the contract with Prothman for the purposes of recruiting a City Clerk-Treasurer. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Bustamante.

MOTION CARRIED 4-0

Public Works Request for Expenditure – Traffic Paint.

It was moved by Councilmember Stonemetz to approve the Public Works Request for Expenditure in the amount of up to $3,200.00 for Traffic Paint. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Isiordia.

Police Department Letter of Agreement – Teamsters Local Union 760 regarding the Sergeant’s wages.

It was moved by Councilmember Bustamante to accept the Letter of Agreement by and between Teamsters Union Local 760 and the City of Granger, to pay the Sergeant 12% high than his base wage at the time he was appointed to the position. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Munoz.

Interlocal Agreement between City of Granger and City of Soap Lake transfer and exchange of Surplus Police Vehicles.

It was moved by Councilmember Stonemetz to enter into an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Granger and the City of Soap Lake for the transfer of ownership of the vehicles listed in said agreement. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Isiordia.

Fire Department Request for Expenditure – 2 Scene Lights and 6 Right Angled Flashlights.

It was moved by Councilmember Munoz to approve the Fire Department Request for Expenditure in the amount of $1,473.01 for the purchase of 2 Scene Lights and 6 Right Angled Flashlights. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Isiordia.

It was moved by Councilmember Bustamante to approve the minutes. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Munoz.

It was moved by Councilmember Stonemetz to pay the bills of March 22, 2022, in the amount of $181,278.45. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Bustamante.
