MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Trevino called the meeting of January 11, 2022 to order at 7:01 p.m.

FLAG SALUTE

Mayor Trevino lead everyone in the flag salute.

COUNCIL AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL PRESENT

COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to excuse Councilman Isiordia because he had to take his wife to the airport and Councilman Stonemetz because he was on vacation from the Council meeting of January 11, 2022. It was seconded by Councilwoman Munoz.

NEW BUSINESS

HLA Task Order- No. 2022-01

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to approve Task Order 2022-01 the Railroad Ave Waterline Replacement Zillah Ave and Hutton Ave. This will be second phase of the project. It was seconded by Councilwoman Munoz.

Sergeant Pilot Program- Creating a Sergeant Position

It was moved by Councilman Bustamante to approve the creation of the permanent Police Sergeant position. It was seconded by Councilwoman Guzman.

Creating a 9th Patrol Position

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to approve the creation of a Police Officer Position. It was seconded by Councilwoman Munoz.

Election of Mayor Pro-Tem

It was moved by Councilwoman Munoz to table the election of Mayor Pro Tem due to two council members being absent. It was seconded by Councilwoman Guzman.

Election of YVCOG Representatives

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to table the election of YVCOG representatives due to two council members being absent. It was seconded by Councilman Bustamante.

MOTION CARRIED 3-0

Pacific Power- Street Light Contract

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to enter the Pacific Power Contract for two streetlights in the Jennifer Drive area and approve the request for expenditure. It was seconded by Councilman Bustamante.

MINUTES

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to approve the minutes as presented. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Sharp.

It was moved by Councilwoman Munoz to pay the bills of January 11, 2022 in the amount of $26,571.45 Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Bustamante.

Councilwoman Guzman announced to Council and Mayor that she was appointed by Secretary Miller to serve as a board member to TIB Board. Everyone that was present congratulated Councilwoman Guzman.

It was moved by Councilwoman Guzman to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Munoz.
